Do you feel “Pressured”?

What’s up ya’ll! Happy Sunday!  So look, I had no intention of posting a blog today.  I was working on something for next week, but a good friend of mine (I’m calling her name…AMANDA 🙂 ) sent me a YouTube video that really shook my soul!  I really love and appreciate all the people in my life.  Ya’ll will never understand how much your words and support mean to me. 

So this youtube video!  MANE, (you gotta say it like you from Memphis), unbelievable and so on time.  It was a video of a sermon by Sarah Jakes Roberts titled “Apply Pressure”.  I knew it would be good because this woman is an amazing speaker but I was not prepared to be snot face crying this morning. Ya’ll should definitely look it up and watch.  I’m just going to bring up a few things she spoke on.  

First, she tells a story of something that happened that showed her how much she acts like her mom.  That was funny to me to because the older I get I realized I act a lot like my mom. Certain things I like to listen to, how I wanna decorate my home, how each season deserves a new scent and bathroom decorations, waking up super early to open all the blinds in the house then getting back in bed.  None of this made sense when I was younger but I get it now. LOL! Mrs. Roberts goes on to say how you “become the person you are connected to” or in covenant with.  That stopped me in my tracks because now I’m thinking about the people I am in “covenant” with…???  Am I cool with becoming pieces of the people I’m in covenant relationships with?    I can honestly say yes.  I have learned to deal with people based on what you show me.  I can’t change or control anyone but myself so as the wonderful late Maya Angelou said “ when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time”.  When you show me you, you show me how I want to deal with you.  I am not in a “covenant” relationship with everyone I know, it’s more of a cordial interaction type situation. HA! 

Anyway, Mrs. Roberts goes on to say that we are in a season where what you are in covenant with will be exposed.  During this quarantine everything will be exposed.  What are you made of?  What are you in covenant with?  It may take a minute for some of us because these are definitely hard times and facing yourself can be difficult.  We all handle things differently.  I guess how you choose to handle things shows you what you are in covenant with.  It’s ok if that list doesn’t look so great, I know mind doesn’t, but she goes on to speak on transitioning from a covenant with whatever is holding you back to a divine covenant.  You have to be willing to break a covenant with anything that is not good for you.  If you don’t move on it God will start to apply pressure!

Let me share a few of the ways I know God has been apply pressure in my life.  Most of you know that I am a writer.  LOL!  I want to, wait, I am going to publish books, write a screenplay, maybe a movie.  I have been writing my whole life but only realized it was a real passion about 3-4 years ago.  Since then, work is the worst.  I have been working in pharmacy for 20 years and the last few years I have really hated my job.  It does nothing for me anymore.  I always feel like it’s the job but it’s not.  It’s just not my passion anymore and I know this now.  God applying pressure.  Recently I started working part time.  Gives me more time to write.  God applying pressure.  My husband is super supportive and stays on my ass about writing.  God applying pressure.  THEN…I got a late Mother’s Day gift this past Friday…my own MacBook Air! We had been sharing his MacBook, but now I have my own!  No excuse not to write.  God applying pressure.  I don’t know what your “thing” is but I’m sure you have one.  Pay attention.

The other thing that has been crazy lately is number sequence. They all have a message.  I have been seeing 222, 555, 444, 1212, and 1111 sooooooooo much.  What do those numbers mean?  Here you go…

222 — Our newly planted ideas are beginning to grow into reality. Keep watering and nurturing them, and soon they will push through the soil so you can see evidence of your manifestation. In other words, don’t quit five minutes before the miracle. Your manifestation is soon going to be evident to you, so keep up the good work! Keep holding positive thoughts, keep affirming, and continue visualizing. God applying pressure!

444 — The angels are surrounding you now, reassuring you of their love and help. Don’t worry because the angels’ help is nearby. God applying pressure!

555 — Buckle your seat belts. A major life change is upon you. This change should not be viewed as being “positive” or “negative,” since all change is but a natural part of life’s flow. Perhaps this change is an answer to your prayers, so continue seeing and feeling yourself being at peace. God applying pressure!

1212  – a message from your angels that you are to stay focused on your highest expectations as the angels and Universal Energies work behind the scenes helping you to manifest your wants and needs, goals and desires. God applying pressure!

1111 – signifies that an energetic gateway has opened up for you, and this will rapidly manifest your thoughts into your reality. There is an opportunity opening up for you, and your thoughts are manifesting them into form at lightning speed. 1111 is similar to the bright light of a flashbulb.  (remember my Power blog and the GLOW?) God applying pressure!

Back to the video…Mrs. Roberts goes on to explain how God will apply pressure because God knows what’s inside you.  We know what’s in us! Whether we have accepted it or not, it’s there.  She said God will continue to apply pressure until what’s in you comes out!  COME ON NOW MRS. ROBERTS!  The pressure will be put on your neck until what’s in you comes out.  Makes me think of a pipe bursting or diamonds being made. Pipes burst under pressure and all that goodness (in this situation) has too come out!  Just like with a diamond…

The example Mrs. Roberts uses is child birth!  PERFECT! She explains how during childbirth when a woman feels pressure, that’s when she knows it’s time to PUSH!  The doctor may ask her to wait but she can’t because it’s too much pressure and she has to birth this miracle! What do you need to birth?

This last part of the message really took me out!  Amanda had no idea of a conversation my husband and I had last night but when she saw they video her spirit told her I needed it and I did!  I’m so glad I have friends that listen when God speaks to them!  So last night my husband was on my ass about writing and how to get more people to read my blogs.  He suggested I ask some of the authors I follow to read my blogs, give me feedback and possibly share them.  He said maybe if they see what I’m working with they will want to basically coach me to championship.  I told him I wasn’t ready for that because I haven’t finished writing my book.  I told him I wasn’t prepared if they were to ask “what else you got?”  He kept pushing telling me to do it anyway to see what happens.  I was fighting him on it, well my covenant with fear, was fighting him.  The thought scared me so bad I got a slick attitude with him.  SMH!  Like dude I said no I’m not ready!!  If they want more I want to have something to produce outside of blogs!! Finally he left it alone. 

BUT, the universe didn’t because Amanda sent this video!  Later in the video Mrs. Roberts started to speak on how Moses told the Israelites it was time to move.   So the Israelites had to take their bread dough before the yeast was added (unleavened bread) because it was their time to move.  Then she broke it down even more.  She explained how they had a choice…wait til the bread was done or take the unleavened bread with them and move.  They took the unleavened bread and moved.  It was time for them to move even though what they were working on was not ready.  She said God has applied pressure so there is a window open and you must go NOW!  (Remember the numbers I been seeing and their meanings). She said just because the dough is in process doesn’t mean it should be left behind.  Take it with you and God will show you how to use it when you get there!  MAN LOOK!!!  Mrs. Roberts did something to my whole soul this morning!  Now I gotta apologize to my husband for kinda snapping last night!  (face palm). It doesn’t matter that what I’m working on or what you working on isn’t finished…if it’s time for you to move…MOVE!  Pressure has been applied to make a way and bring out what’s inside of you…so what you gone do?  

I have been getting all kinds of messages from different sources and last night my friend Amanda was used to send me the message and confirmation I needed.  I wanted to share this in hopes that it does the same for you.  Pressure has been applied so you can transition from the wrong covenants to the right ones.  Mrs. Roberts said a lot of us are living less than what we were called to be due to unbroken covenants. Guilty!  It’s time to break loose! She said if you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, etc that’s a good thing.  It’s a reminder that pressure has been applied on your behalf and it’s time to MOVE!
